INTRODUCTION
BACKGROUND
Tuhava Town Development brings together customary landowners and developers to create a new masterplanned community in Port Moresby. It is a pioneering project for PNG that has already resulted in the conversion of customary land into a State Lease for the purposes of private development. Tuhava Town is designed to bring much deserved economic benefits to the local and broader communities in PNG. The landowners provide land for development, and the developers bring experience, capital and turnkey delivery of trunk infrastructure and buildings.
THE PROJECT
4000 Residential Dwelling Capacity
The first stage is proposed for 220 lots that will be offered for sale as house and land packages. Interest for such quality and affordable housing has been displayed already by state owned and large private enterprises within PNG seeking staff housing, supported by local bank finance.
Social Infrastructure
Quality lifestyle and social facilities will be accessible through Tuhava town, including a swimming beach, business accommodation, as well as a proposed education precinct, marina and hotel.
Business Park and Commercial Zone
The estate will benefit from a business park and commercial areas that will service the wider Napa Napa community and local buisinesses such as Puma, the AES Port, Motokea, PNG Ports and PNG LNG - all of which are within a 15 minutes drive or less.
